News: Publishing Update

We are finished with the copyediting! Our fabulous copyeditor Julia Bernd has been working with the authors over the last two months, ironing out the details to bring you a better story. Now Kaolin is going over the final edits, and as quick as he can put his mark on them I am turning them into magazine pages in PDF format. Once the magazine is paginated, we'll chunk it up and send the actual pages to the authors and artists for their final approval. Then, it's off to the printer!

What a process this has been. We've learned a lot on Issue 0 of GUD, and we're all of us pleased to bring it to you. If it seems like it's taking forever, believe me, we hear you. Loud and clear. We've got out our fine-toothed combs, and are grooming this one for greatness. We're sure you're going to be pleased with the final product.

When can I have it, you say?

Those of you who have ponied up the cash and pre-ordered will get it first. Just in case you can't wait to get your eyes on it, we're sending all subscribers a free PDF in addition to the hard copy they have purchased, just so there won't be any lag time. We'll be making the PDF available for download as soon as the proofs are signed off on. For those of you who want hardcopy, just let us know. You too will get the PDF version as soon as it is available, in addition to the copy that will be mailed to you.

We expect the actual books to be mailed the third week in November. You should have them in time for the holidays! And, you can still preorder Issue 0 at a savings: $9.00 for one hardcopy issue, $16.20 for two! -- pre-order now!

- reddit, digg, facebook, stumbleupon, etc... please! ;)
